Freeport (Sarver Rd.) to Butler ride on Sunday, Nov 11, 2012

We will meet at the Sarver Road parking area (next to the fire hall). This is not our usual parking area but one that is a bit further up the trail. Be at the parking area and ready to ride by 1:45 PM. Depending on conditions, we should make it to Butler and then back for a total distance of approximately 27 miles. As always, you can ride for a shorter distance if you choose just make sure to let one of the group leaders know. Our trip will take us past a turkey farm which should help you get into the Thanksgiving spirit.

Currently the weather forecast is for a mostly sunny day with a high around 64 and lows around 45 so make sure to wear layers. Make sure to bring plenty of water and any snacks you might want as this ride is in an area with limited facilities.

Basic directions from PA-28 North

From PA-28 N take exit 17 for PA-356
At the top of the ramp turn right onto PA-356 N/Butler Rd (which eventually becomes S Pike Rd.) and go approximately 3.7 miles to Sarver Rd.
